Maths is Cool and Beautiful.

Hello again! 🙂

Maths is cool and beautiful, all by itself.  A lot of what I like about math(s) is the way it solves those every day, real-life problems. If you, your child, or a child you love are thinking about doing any of the following in the future, you are definitely in the right place.

Just imagine being involved in any of these cool ventures:

  • Rocket science
  • Flying airplanes
  • Creating video games
  • Creating smart phones
  • Programming apps and applications
  • Measuring and improving health performance
  • Tackling fraud in banking, finance and accounting sectors (wow! Isn’t that just so needed?)
  • Creating smart websites that have algorithms that help humans search for information and connect with people such as Google and Facebook.

How many other exciting, life-changing, economy-impacting, and lucrative careers will our children be excluded from, however, if they buy into the “bad at math(s)” or “others are math(s) people” myths, instead of developing practical numeracy skills?

Experts suggest, within the next few years, the need for math(s) competence in most good jobs will double. It is already happening!

So I urge you, get on board lovely parent reading this. Get on the math(s) wagon. Let’s make sure your child is sorted in time and stays sorted where math(s) is concerned.
